Introducing ROAARRR

I've been trying (and on rare occasion when mercury is covered in gatorade, succeeding) to make money on the internet for as long as I can remember. I've lost count of the amount of websites and apps I've made, though I do know I have 43 domains I'm currently paying for.

The apps I've made run the gamut in terms of domain, but they all share a common thread: I want people to use them, and I care about the user.

The UX Phase

At first, for me, this manifested itself in a UX focus. This was good, as I still constantly think about UX and interactions. However, UX alone does not a product make.

I then shifted my focus towards business via product. This also was good, and the basis for PLG, but still was lacking in holistic approach to building maintainable and valuable services for users.

The Growth Revelation

So I dedicated myself fully to Growth, specifically working for and leading PLG teams at unicorns and high growth startups. Across all of the work I've done, only one thing remained constant: I needed to know, from Awareness to Retention, my user journeys.

At all companies that I'd been employed at, this was horrifically painful. During my biweekly growth presentations I was writing SQL and combining disparate sources (god forbid I had to touch GA or GTM) to give my coworkers an overview of our growth funnel.

The Search for Better Tools

I thought, there must be something better! And there was! It was called Posthog!

I used Posthog for years, until my most recent project. I booted it up, and watched it try to sell me features I did not want, and pollute what was once a beautiful product with lazy cross-sell attempts.

My thoughts were "Jeez, okay, who is the new pre-enshittification posthog?" So I googled, and after fighting my way through nearly infinite paid ads, I found that there wasn't one. The existing big players still existed for enterprise, and it was very clear where Posthog was heading.

So I made my own.

I'm proud to introduce ROAARRR.
